The best time to visit the park is just before sunset, when day elapses into quiet moments interspersed with flirtatious giggling from lovers. You’ll also arrive in time to see the sunlight striking the colorful mosaic walls. If you happen to be around on Valentine’s Day, you can participate in the Longest Kiss competition, a name that clearly describes itself. But it’s not all serene romance. A nearby paragliding station allows visitors to sail the sky for about 15 minutes.

The park has a few kiosks for light snacks. Or, about five minutes away, Curich Cremoladas (Calle Bolognesi 759, Miraflores) serves a Peruvian frozen fruit drink called cremolada. A mix between ice cream and fresh fruit drink, it will quench your thirst during a warm summer afternoon.

Other attractions:

Paragliders will regularly swoop by, and if you’re up for it, there’s a paragliding station where you can lift a 15-minute ride with a paraglider. For a less adrenaline-pumped activity, the Malecón promenade winds through Parque del Amor and numerous other parks. Following the coastline of the Miraflores District, you’ll pass beautiful Peruvian scenery as well as statues by renowned artists.
