We will make sure to see Old Faithful, the most famous geyser in America, as well as the Grand Prismatic Thermal Spring, located in the Midway Geyser Basin. Keep your eyes peeled for bison and bighorn sheep as Yellowstone is home to the highest density of mammals in the contiguous USA.

DAY 5: YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, USA

Today will be dedicated to exploring more beautiful and iconic sites in Yellowstone National Park. Uncle Tom’s Cabin is a must-hike that will allow us to get up close and personal with the thunderous Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River. As we continue our driving tour of the park we will be sure to enjoy a self guiding boardwalk that winds its way through the mysterious, multilayered Mammoth Hot Springs. The incalculable viewpoints and spectacular landscapes in this region will be sure to take your breath away.

DAY 6: YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, USA – GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, USA

Driving north through western Montana will land us Glacier National Park. Throughout the day the landscape will dramatically change from Big Sky Country to dense forests like Flathead National Forest. The Rocky Mountain landscapes within the park are home to over 100 glaciers and 700 lakes. Given enough time we will tour the Apgar Visitor Center and walk along Lake McDonald for a sneak peak of what this National Park has to offer.

DAY 7: GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, USA

Today will be dedicated to exploring Glacier National Park. As we wind along the ‘Going-to-the-Sun’ Road through the continental divide we will witness remarkable views of mighty glaciers, turquoise lakes and grand vistas. This scenic byway has unlocked much of the park’s wonders including St. Mary Lake and Logan Pass. In the evening we will cross the international border into Canada.

DAY 8: WATERTON LAKES NATIONAL PARK, ALBERTA, CANADA

The first half of our day will be spent exploring beautiful mountain-lake country within Waterton Lakes National Park. There will be many grand vistas overlooking the crystal clear lakes, rainbow colored streams and thundering waterfalls. After lunch we drive north through the luscious green prairies of Alberta to the city of Banff. If time allows we may choose to explore Bow Falls, a major waterfall on the Bow River. In the evening we will take a walking tour of Banff. The main road through town, Banff Avenue, is home to a number of boutiques, restaurants and chateau style hotels.

DAY 9: BANFF NATIONAL PARK – BANFF, ALBERTA, CANADA

Nestled in the heart of the mighty Canadian Rockies, Banff National Park is Canada’s first national park. Today we will continue exploring the untamed wilderness within the park. Marvel at the emerald waters of Lake Louise, walk through fields of flowers at Sunshine Meadows or drive under the giant peaks of the scenic Icefields Parkway. As the world’s third oldest national park, Banff will continue to shock you with its landscapes, flora and fauna.

DAY 11: JASPER NATIONAL PARK, ALBERTA, CANADA

After a short mountain hike we take a scenic drive down through British Columbia to the town of Kamloops where we will relax for the evening.

DAY 13: VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA

Getting an early start to our day we will drive south through beautiful British Columbia country. Located at the convergence of the Coquihalla and Fraser Rivers, the city of Hope is an important landmark in the history of the First Nations as well as a good place to stretch. Continuing west towards BC’s bustling seaport we have the opportunity to explore Stanley Park and as well as the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge. In the evening we will have the pleasure of exploring downtown downtown Vancouver, one of Canada’s most densely populated and diverse cities.

DAY 14: VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA

Today we will take a day trip to the whimsical town of Whistler. If the scenic drive north of Vancouver doesn’t leave you breathless nothing will. Along the way we will be sure to stop by Shannon Falls Provincial Park for an up close look of this stunning waterfall. As the road winds deeper and deeper inland we will arrive at Whistler. As one of the largest ski resorts in North America and venue for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, the city of Whistler is located at the base of the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains.
